All puppy litters are hand raised in our house with around the clock feeding, cleaning, human and other animal interaction and household exposure. Puppies are learning and growing daily with hours of interaction every day and outside time daily, weather permitting.
Dogs naturally do not want to soil their living area. Attention to this detail in the early care of our puppies goes a long way providing you with a puppy who is well under way on their potty training.
We started potty training when the puppies were first starting to go on their own around the time their eyes started opening. We have been making sure that they live in a clean environment, which is a huge help for their potty training, also a very labor intensive task. Potty training is all about providing your puppy the opportunity to do the right thing and managing the pretty predictable timing, there is no punishment involved. In puppy potty training, all success or lack there of is in the hands of the human trainer.
Our puppies now stay in their indoor pen all night from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM without defecating. At this point these puppies are virtually potty trained. They now need consistent one-on-one attention in their forever homes.
The most important things that their mother and litter-mates teach a puppy about socialization can not effectively be taught to them by a human being. These lessons include gauging their own bite pressure, don't bully others, group play, over-stimulation and alone time. They are excelling with these lessons.
Being raised in our home, all puppies have been handled by humans many times daily, exposed to their parents and our other dogs and cats daily since birth. They have been introduced to animals on our farm including the horses, chickens and cats. Blizzard, the horse, regularly comes up to the fence and is nose to nose with them. Our house cat, Stormin Norman, has schooled them about politely interacting with cats; He lets puppies lick him and be near to him, but not abuse him. They love to watch chickens, geese and even a goat in the barnyard next to their dog yard.
Our puppies have learned how to go up and down stairs. They love to get up, head out of their indoor pen and down the stairs into the yard early in the morning. After a long entertaining and busy day of puppy socialization at puppy school, they are very enthusiastic about going back up stairs into their indoor pen for the night. They have been positively exposed many new experiences to include: shoveling dirt, sweeping floors, water hose, television, vacuum cleaner, lawnmower, tractors, tree trimming with chainsaw and much more.
They are very interested when watching mom and dad fetching, playing and swimming. The puppies have been introduced to swimming in the dog pool and love to walk around in the water to cool off. They also love to go on walkabouts around the dog yard with their people exploring and finding fun and interesting things to learn about and do. They have lots of different toys to chew, tug and play with.
After much deliberation we have decided to leave natural tails on our Rottweiler Puppies.
There is a great deal of information available on the internet about docking Rottweiler tails and you can look into it further yourself.

We can hold the puppy you select for you for up to one week while you get set up to bring your new puppy home, with a $300 deposit that applies to your total price when you pick them up.
Why do we require a $300 non-refundable puppy deposit?
"Non-refundable deposits also serve as a screening tool for breeders to use when evaluating potential puppy buyers. Payment of a non-refundable deposit indicates to a breeder that a potential buyer is serious and not just window-shopping, putting their names down on a waitlist or multiple waitlists without any intention of actually getting a puppy. Buyers who are willing to pay non-refundable deposits are typically buyers who believe they have found the right breeder for them and are committed to following through with purchasing a puppy. This means that non-refundable deposits protect breeders from a situation where a buyer backs out after a litter is born and a breeder must then dedicate unexpected time and energy finding new homes, while also caring for the remaining pups."
