We have 30 years of Rottweiler experience. Our Gorgeous Rottweilers exemplify the intelligence, devotion, strength, health and athleticism of this incredible breed.
We love our dogs and they are part of our family. All of our of Rottweilers live in our house with us. All of our puppy litters are hand raised in our house with around the clock monitoring, feeding, cleaning, human and other animal interaction full 24 hour household exposure.
Rottweilers are very smart, eager to please and very sensitive. They'll do pretty much anything you ask of them. We use motovational "positive reinforcement" training only with our dogs and they love to do what we ask of them.
Walking, running and playing off-leash allows dogs to set their own pace, explore their surroundings, and burn off energy in a way that regular walks or leashed runs often can't provide.
Teaching your dog to come when they're called, "off leash recall" is one of the most important things you and your dog will ever learn. All dogs need to be trained so they consistently respond to your commands when they are off leash.
We use Positive Reinforcement Obedience Training or "Motivational Obedience". Positive reinforcement training methods must include your genuine enthusiastic approval and praise and can also include food treats, or a favorite toy or game.
The best recall words are clear and concise - We use the command 'here' and it means stop whatever you are doing and return to me ASAP. When we use the command 'come' it is a more proper obedience command which means get directly in front of me and sit with your nose as close to me or touching me as you can get it. Your dog should also be able to recognize and respond to their own name.
Here are a couple impromptu cell phone videos of some off leash walking, running and playing and responding to off leash commands.
Our Rottweilers love to fetch it is one of their favorite activities. Patriot is more athletic and much faster than Liberty or Freedom, he usually gets the ball first. In this video he missed the ball and Liberty got it. We only fetch with one ball on these free range long fetch sessions so I don't have to go pick up stray balls left way out in the field. Freedom was just learning how to fetch so she was mostly watching and cheering them along.
Here is a short little 35 second cell phone video of them doing what they love, fetching.
Here is a short little 20 second cell phone video of all three of them doing what they love, long walks in the wilderness, walking, running, playing and practicing their off leash obedience.
